What is the difference between the MC 2100 and the MC 2150?
If you are looking at one how can you tell what one it is?

I found this on a Full Sized Jeep Site.  Looks to be a good one.

On the skim-thru it looks very informative.  Not many pictures tho Roll Eyes
I am thinking of attempting this with the extra carb I have on the shelf.  I know nothing about it but I gotta start somewhere to learn.

The one I have dumps fuel out one of the ports and down the throat and it also shoots fuel out the throttle shaft out the side of the carb.
Do the rebuild kits include the goods I need to fix those issues?
What kit do I get and from where?

Thanks.
So using the kit to rebuild should fix the fuel dump issue?
Along with rebushing the shaft possibly, is there anything else on the carb that should be replaced that isnt in the kit?

If it is a nitropyl float, a type of plastic, it should be replaced they don't usually come in a kit, if a brass float is available get it.

This site was helpful in getting me to better understand how the carb in gerneral works.  But when it get to the meat of explaining the rebuild and th tuning it comes up with dead end pages.  That sucks.  But what is there is good, at least for me.

Do the main jets in the carb need to match?
Looking at what they are, one says 47 and the other says 48.
Also as far as I can tell it looks like a plastic float, its a light hard black thing.

Now for the electric choke... this carb has a Holley choke on it and it has both a + and - spade connector.
The MC I currently have on the car has a MC choke with just the one spade connector.
What do I do to connect up the Holley choke on the one I am rebuilding?  Do I do anything with the - connector?

Is the Holley choke better than the Motorcraft choke?  Or is a choke a choke?

The tube coming out of the choke housing angling down and back, it has the threads on the outside of it... should that be hooked up to anything or capped?
It currently is not capped or connected to anything on my car, just open.
Here is a pic of the one off I have off the car.  It is in the bottom right there.  Hollow tube going up to the round thing and it has two small holes in it.
