We ought to do this as a Cruise in type of show . Ever been to one of these? No awards, no judging no Nitpicking. Everyone brings there ride & parks . Then we walk round gawking at the cars meeting everyone having fun. I like these types of events more than Judged shows because I've found out over the years some of the Judges just don't know Jack about the subject they are supposed to judge. We have one up here every July at a local ice cream place that gets @ 400 cars every year. This lady knows how to put together a show.  Having said all of this I'm all for meeting at parts A  RAMA too.

I'd be interested in this.  And I agree with Scottd too....ever been to the Jalopy Showdown around Harrisburg?  Just a good old fashion car hang out, not car show...just hanging out talking cars.

rkline I know. I love those kinds of events. Just cruise in, hang out with everyone & check out the cars. I shy away from judged event s  because I've seen some Judges who really don't know there subject matter. I saw a 68 Le mans win best of it's class once , "restored" with Cragar mags , 69 Judge wing on the back & a bonifide 71 GTO 455 H.O. motor. Now c'mon if your that un- interested in cars to do some simple homework why are you judging them ? I'm up for it if you guys are but if not I'm for getting together at Part- a rama

I'm kind of like you...I'd go either way too.  But if there is interest, and I know that there is distance between us...but I'd be interested in helping plan and such with pa s/x4.  I'll check out some maps and research and stuff and see if I can come up with any cool ideas.  But if not, I'll travel down to Butler...never been there.

You've got a good idea there. So far there is @ ten ? of us who are interested in getting together. So maybe we should plan on meeting in the middle somewhere? However Parts-a-Rama does have a good flea market section. I know I'm planning on stopping at the guys booth who has all of the Shop Manuals, brochures' & catalogs. I need some books for my Eagle. I could talk to the woman who organizes the one I talked about in an earlier post. She does an awesome job,400 + cars every year. She begins planning the next year the day after she gets done with the current years cruise in.

Well like I said, I've never been there so I would def. be down with checking it out.

I'll brain storm some more this weekend and see if I got anymore ideas.

I will be there too.  Coming from calcutta, oh.    Cant bring my eagle as it is not driveable on-road.....probably will bring my Concord or maybe Rambler.

Would love to bring the big truck and get a photo of it loaded with eagles........
here are some photos of a load a buddy hauled from Brooklyn, NY to a  racetrack down south (SC or GA) last summer

All are welcome !! I have a long road ahead of me to get ready. I have been sent out of town the last few weeks for work and looks like i will be there for a wile so i only get the weekends to work on my cars. After doing what needs to be done and  spending time with the family it leaves a small amount to work on cars. I will be there no matter what. I'm putting in for vacation to make sure. I'm glad to see this is going to be a nice turn out.
